An EF-3 tornado directly hits Jacksonville University in northeast Alabama. Hurricane Michael causes massive damage in the Florida Panhandle. Join a panel of PR professionals who share their experience during these events, as well as tips on how others can effectively communicate when Mother Nature strikes. This panel presentation will feature Buffy Lockette, APR, who is the director of public relations at Jacksonville State University and April Salter, APR, CPRC, who is the founder and CEO of SalterMitchell PR headquartered in Tallahassee. The panel will be moderated by FPRA State President Gordon Paulus, APR, CPRC, a Sr. Communications specialist at Gulf Power, whose service territory covers most of the area affected by Hurricane Michael. Led by: Buffy Lockette, APR, director of public relations at Jacksonville State University; April Salter, APR, CPRC, founder and CEO of SalterMitchell PR.
